What's changing
Naming
Among the places TakeScout has observed enough to check consistently — 15,290 of the full 108,924-place network — 79% are called more than one thing across different AI answers. This reflects places we've observed often enough to check, not the whole network; places with only a handful of observations aren't included because there isn't enough signal yet to tell a real naming inconsistency from a one-off phrasing.
Sentiment
95% of the statements AI assistants make about a place are positive, and well under 1% are negative. AI travel advice essentially doesn't voice criticism — a place with real, well-known drawbacks still gets described the same way as one without.

tripadvisor.com leads every other site AI's search draws on for travel answers, at 11.4% of citations. This is based on Perplexity citations only — currently the only assistant that exposes its sources to us — over the last 90 days of data.
